Accessibility Statement

We want everyone to be able to read this site, understand what we do, and reach us — whatever device you use and however you use it.

1. Our commitment

Beauty Factory SD is committed to making its website and its practice accessible to people with disabilities. Access to healthcare information should not depend on whether you can use a mouse, see the screen, or read small text.

This statement describes what we have done, what we know is not yet right, and how to get help if something on this site is in your way. It applies to this website. Accessibility at the practice itself — the building, the treatment rooms, and accommodations during your visit — is covered in section 6.

2. The standard we build to

We build this site to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium. WCAG is the standard referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act and by California’s Unruh Civil Rights Act.

We aim to meet that standard. We do not claim to have achieved it everywhere. No independent audit of this site has been carried out, and until one has, we are not going to tell you it conforms.

3. What we have done

Specific measures taken in building this site:

  • Every page works without JavaScript. The full text of a page is present and visible in the HTML the server sends, so a screen reader, a text browser or an assistive tool never waits on a script to reveal content.

  • All animation is switched off if your system is set to reduce motion. Content is shown in its final state, not mid-transition.

  • Comparison tables are built as real tables with proper row and column headers, so a screen reader can announce which treatment a cell belongs to. They scroll inside their own container, so the page itself never scrolls sideways.

  • Every answer in a frequently-asked-questions section is present in the page whether the accordion is open or closed. Collapsing is visual only; nothing is hidden from assistive technology.

  • Pages are checked at 340 pixels wide — narrower than the smallest phone in common use — with no content cut off and no horizontal scrolling.

  • Text is set at 17 to 18 pixels for body copy and can be enlarged by your browser without breaking the layout.

  • Headings are properly nested, one main heading per page, so you can navigate by heading structure.

  • Links, buttons and form fields are reachable and operable by keyboard, and show a visible focus indicator.

  • Form fields have real labels, and errors are described in text rather than by colour alone.

  • Images that carry meaning have text alternatives; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.

4. Known limitations

We would rather tell you where the gaps are than let you find them.

  • Online booking. The appointment scheduler is AestheticPro, third-party software we do not control and cannot modify. We have not audited it and cannot warrant its accessibility. If it does not work for you, call us on (619) 306-0462 and we will book your appointment for you — with no card required and no disadvantage to you.

  • No independent audit. The measures in section 3 are ours, self-assessed. An external audit has not yet been commissioned.

  • Before-and-after imagery. A clinical photograph cannot be fully conveyed in a text alternative. We describe what each pair shows, the treatment and the interval, but the image itself carries information text cannot replace. Ask us and we will describe any result to you directly.

  • Older articles. Blog posts migrated from the practice’s previous website may have inherited headings, link text or images that do not meet the standard above. We are working through them.

  • Third-party content. Maps, embedded video and social media content come from other providers under their own accessibility practices.

5. Tell us if something is in your way

If you cannot use part of this site, or you found something confusing, difficult or impossible, we want to know. You do not need to know why it is broken or use any particular words — tell us what you were trying to do and what happened.

  • Telephone: (619) 306-0462

  • Email: Stan@beautyfactorysd.com

  • By post: Zayets Beauty Factory SD, PC, 4025 Camino Del Rio South, Suite 306, San Diego, CA 92108

It helps if you can tell us the page address, what you were trying to do, and the device, browser or assistive technology you were using. We aim to acknowledge every report within five business days and to tell you what we are going to do about it.

6. Getting what you need another way

Nothing on this site is only available on this site. If the website is not working for you, everything it offers is available by phone, by email or in person.

Call (619) 306-0462 and we will answer questions about treatment, give you the information from any page, and book your consultation for you.

If you need an accommodation for your visit — an interpreter, help with forms, assistance with access to the building, or information in another format — tell us when you book and we will arrange it. There is no charge for an accommodation.

7. Ongoing work

Accessibility is not a task that finishes. New pages are checked against the measures in section 3 before they are published, reported barriers are treated as defects rather than requests, and we intend to commission an independent audit. When one has been completed, this statement will be updated to say so and to say what it found.
