Which one do you need?

There is a test you can do in a mirror right now. Relax your face completely and look at the line that bothers you. If it disappears, it is being made by muscle movement, and a wrinkle relaxer treats it. If it is still there, volume has been lost underneath it, and a filler treats it.

Upper face — forehead, between the brows, around the eyes — is usually relaxer territory. Mid and lower face — cheeks, the folds from nose to mouth, lips, jawline — is usually filler territory. That is a rule of thumb rather than a law, and plenty of faces need both in the same appointment.

What you should be skeptical of is a clinic that recommends the same treatment regardless of which answer you gave.

Wrinkle Relaxers

Wrinkle relaxers — BOTOX®, Dysport®, Xeomin® and Jeuveau® — are purified proteins injected in very small amounts to relax the specific facial muscles that fold the skin. Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers are injectable gels, most often made of hyaluronic acid, that add volume beneath the skin to smooth lines and restore facial contours lost to aging. Lip Fillers

Lip filler is hyaluronic acid gel injected into the lips to add volume, improve definition or correct asymmetry. Cheek Fillers

Cheek filler restores volume to the mid-face, where fat pads thin and descend with age. Temple Fillers

Results are immediate and typically last twelve to eighteen months.

Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty

Non-surgical rhinoplasty uses small amounts of hyaluronic acid filler to change how the nose is perceived — camouflaging a dorsal hump, straightening an apparent deviation or lifting a drooping tip. Neck Rejuvenation
